Nottinghamshire YMCA has been supporting our local community for 150 years and we want you to help us tell our story. If you, or anyone you know has a story about our YMCA, we want to hear it.

Services
In 1871, a group of friends made it their mission set up a local YMCA branch in Nottinghamshire - all these years later we are still here, supporting the community and growing to support even more young people!
Based on Christian core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility - we are an autonomous regional charity devoted to promoting youth development, healthy living and social responsibility for all.
Through our varied range of frontline services across the region, every programme delivered by Nottinghamshire YMCA strives to improve the mind, body and spirit of our community.

We are a not-for-profit gym which means when you're working out with us you're also giving back to others because a YMCA gym membership helps support programmes and services for vulnerable adults and children in Nottingham and across the county.
Whether your exercise routine includes pounding the treadmill, climbing our ropes or lifting weights, feel good knowing you're benefitting physically and mentally and others are too.

If you're new to our running club, please come along to a Tuesday session first so our run leaders can get to know you and your personal goals!
Started running: I started running in 2013 when I completed a race for life in memory of a friend.
I was training with a couple of mates who suggested we sign up for a half-marathon, so knew I had step up my game and down-loaded a training plan.
The feeling and focus felt soooo good that I have loved running ever since.
Favourite distance to run: When I am running on my own, I always say no less than 3 miles, But I do like a 10-mile run on a Saturday or Sunday morning.
