HD3 Fitness Centre is a vibrant and friendly, community-focused gym and fitness studio located in the north-west sector of the Kirklees. It serves primarily the communities of Salendine Nook, Lindley, Mount, Outlane and surrounding areas as well as parts of Calderdale. Although an independent business, the Fitness Centre is situated on the first floor of the Laund Hill Sports Complex, with its easy access and outstanding parking facilities, just off New Hey Road (A640), close to the M62 Outlane junction (Junction 23).
The Fitness Centre is pleasantly located, being surrounded by playing fields, mature trees and distant views. HD3 Fitness Centre gives a warm welcome to all abilities and all age-groups and we believe that our friendly atmosphere sets us apart as something special in the world of fitness training. All the photos on this website are of 'real' members doing 'real' things at the Fitness Centre.
Whether you are old or young, we hope to have something to excite you. We also offer disabled access for those looking to take advantage of our fitness equipment but please ring reception for access details.

HD3 Fitness Centre offers everyone using the gym a free personal programme.
We believe that keeping track of one's progress is a vital tool for keeping motivated and maintain a successful path towards fitness goals.
Our on-site trainers, Adam, Sam, Ruth, Sarah and Karen will help you gauge the things you need to do to achieve peak fitness.
This programme is recorded for you on your own personal card.
You are then able to refer to this on each visit.
And you can, of course, record your own progress.

The studio is pleasantly located on the second floor of the building, with airy views over the surrounding tree-lined playing fields.
The 110 square metres of space offers a great place for the many classes on offer.
The well-lit, south-facing room has air-conditioning and a sound system plus a projector and screen.
A variety of classes are available including Yoga, Zumba, Spinning, Boxercise plus a wide range of studio-based cardio classes (and if you don't find what you fancy then please let us know and we'll try and source teachers/instructors to put on classes of interest to you.)

HD3 Fitness Centre was a satellite centre for the Kirklees Exercise Referral Scheme ie PALS.
However this system has been withdrawn by the local authority due to lack of funding.
The scheme aimed to support and encourage less active people in the local area who want to make a difference to their own health and quality of life by becoming more active.
This authority-wide scheme was referred to as PALS (or the "Practice, Activity & Leisure Scheme").
Here at HD3 Fitness Centre, we have highly qualified practitioners who deliver Stay Active sessions to local people.

One of the great advantages of the HD3 Fitness Centre is that we are surrounded by open spaces and playing fields.
And within a few hundred metres the countryside starts.
So we offer immediate opportunities for putting into practice all that indoor training you've been doing.
Regular events include the running club (run by Simon) and the Nordic Walking group (who organise weekly trips in the immediate locality as well as special events in scenically interesting locations.)
We have, on occasions, taken our training outside and completed a Boot Camp style class!
