Services
Our charity provides a range of low costs services to the community to make the area they live in a better place to live, and uses the income from this to provided services to improve the lives of local people.
A significant part of our strategy for 2018-2023 is to develop new services in which we are able to support other charities in running their community buildings.
This will help us spread the good work we do to reach more people and also through the economies of scale make our resourcing more efficient, therefore making sure every penny we earn is put to best use supporting out community.
Members are a really important part of the charity, as a member you are responsible for electing the board of trustees and holding them accountable for delivering a great community service.
As members you attend and vote at the AGM as well as attend forms and events where you are able to discuss and influence strategy with the trustees and senior staff.
West Faversham Community Association has over the last 4 years developed a partnership with HMP Standford Hill, in which we offer work placements under the Ministry of Justices Working Out Programme, to serving offenders in the local D-Cat low risk site.
All of those of placement undergo careful assessment before being offered placements, taking into a account a wide range of factors, showing effective rehabilitation has taken place and they are ready for this final step before full release.
Those on placement will have never committed a sexual offence or one involving a child.
We are always looking for the next great member of our team to join our team to help us achieve our goals.
We take a people based approached to recruitment where possible, rather than a role based approached.
This means rather than fit someone into a role we have created, we like to build a role around the person who will be carrying out the job.
If you have read about the work we do and are passionate about the services we offer, and you think you have something to bring to our team, then get in touch.
The team at West Faversham are dedicated to making fitness as accessible to everyone as possible as we know regular physical activity has great benefits to both physical and metal health.
Our gym offers a fantastic range of Cardio, strength and functional equipment that rivals any other local gym.
However having the best range of equipment doesn't make us more expensive, Inkeeping with our aims to make fitness accessible to all our gym is offered at the low cost of 25 a month without any contracts so you can use it when you can afford to.
