Mizukara Martial Arts is a group of Karate, Fitness & Tai Chi clubs brought together in Bangor and Newtownards. We help children & adults develop their self-confidence and fitness. With over twenty five years of experience our martial arts and general fitness classes have something for everyone. We belief in quality coaching and training. Almost all our students that train from a child into their teens, become international athlete.
As a result we have helped coach numerous students to European and World medals and titles. Our Karate classes are in Bangor and Newtownards. Likewise our Tai Chi and S.P.A.R (Speed, Plyometric, Agility & Recovery) classes are currently held in DW Sports, Bangor on Saturday mornings. We always welcome beginners to try a class with us. Options are: junior karate in schools or clubs, general fitness training, Karate and Tai Chi for adults, or competition training.
We are also happy to run courses at other venues if requested. Our boys have gained so much from practicing karate at Mizukara.

Firstly, no martial arts experience is necessary.
Our 'S.P.A.R.' classes give adults a taste of the 'fitness training' international karate athletes have to do without the need to do actual karate training.
Students are encouraged to take the class at their own speed and gradually build up their skills and fitness.
This class is based on proven speed, plyometric and core training which has resulted in many world class karate athletes.
Classes also involve recovery stretching.
Each class is 30 minutes of coached technical physical training followed by 15 minutes of Shaolin stretching.
