The greatest foul of all time.
Inarguably intentional, yet so majestic.
The kind of fouls that lead to Mike Tyson biting your eat off in frustration.
Holyfield was a nasty, gritty fighter who could dig down and pull some truly heinous sh*t off in a boxing match and still get away with it.
If you were able to challenge him skill for skill, very few could deal with his outright cheating, which he consistently got away with.
Make no mistake, this isn't a condemnation of Holyfield.
He was a truly fantastic boxer, but he was a dirty fighter, and when the referee is allowing dirty fighting, there's no incentive not to do it.

A common argument made against Jake Paul, YouTube and Vine star turned professional boxer, is that he hasn't fought a single 'real' boxer.
The man is 4 fights in, and just defeated his 4th debuting fighter in the form of Tyron Woodley, probably the UFC's worst champion outside of Germaine De Randamie.
For the entire time he has been boxing, Paul has been continuously criticised for his opponent, his debut was against another internet celebrity with no pro boxing record, fitting as Paul himself was an internet celebrity, with no pro boxing record.

These techniques are what got into the highlight reel, but it was Andy Hug's great fundamentals that allowed him victory after victory.
Andy Hug got his start in martial arts in Kyokushin Karate.
Most kids do some form of karate at some point in their childhood, but unless you're doing a style like kyokushin, those kids are probably not learning the tough fighting art they think they are.

MMA as a sport is very trend heavy.
Anderson Silva KO'd Vitor Belfort with a front kick, and from then on every fighter was trying to recreate that same KO with poorly thought out front kicks.

In the last few years Lethwei has boomed in popularity, from being a sport only practised and watched in Myanmar, to a sport that people all over the world pretend they watch, while actually just watching Dave Leduc highlights.
UFC 263 saw new champions crowned, old champions defend, and Leon Edwards somehow lose stock with a win.
Everybody wants the high kick.
Even boxers want the high kick.
Actually obtaining it however is pretty hard, especially if you're in Muay Thai or MMA in the West, where the method of learning how to high kick is to simply kick until you get it.
