The Pilates, Strength & Relax class blends Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates, relaxation, strength and flexibility training into one challenging but relaxing class. Serenity is now OPEN with the usual 20 classes a week. We also offer ONLINE classes if you do not wish to attend a LIVE class. We are socially distancing as necessary and this does not affect the quality of our classes.
The ONLINE classes are for MAT based Pilates only; they can be accessed at any time with a private link though YouTube. The cost of these classes is the same as our regular LIVE classes, but you can do the class as often in a week as you wish and at a time to suit you; you can do the Online class every day if you wish! Online classes will alternate weekly between Linda and Fiona and will change on a Sunday morning.
You will be emailed a new link before the old class is taken down. Our Pilates classes are suitable for all levels of fitness and ability. We will offer alternatives and adaptations in our classes to suit everyone and ensure that everyone works to the best of their ability.

It is approximately 100 years old and was decommissioned in 1968.
It was derelict until restoration commenced 6 years ago.
Serenity Pilates and Fitness Studio is a beautiful old building that has been restored to very high standards in keeping with the original design of the building.
The ceiling downstairs is made up of a series of arches.
The top floor has been converted, as the pictures show, to a very light small Studio that is private and very personal.

Linda is a qualified Level 3 Pilates Instructor and holds the YMCA Personal Trainer & Fitness Diplomas.
Linda has been teaching for over 19 years and is also a part time Tutor & Assessor, as the East Regional Fitness Tutor for Everyone Active, who have a number of leisure centres all over England.
Linda has lots of experience delivering Personal Training and has choreographed and filmed a DVD called "Cardio Bounce Ultra" for a local Media company.
Linda's wealth of experience and knowledge in all areas of fitness is her secret to success with her Personal training clients and she is well known in the Oadby & Wigston community for her classes at a local leisure centre.

They start with a standing warm up to mobilise the whole body, with some balance and functional exercises included.
Pilates sequences will tone and warm the body.
After a 25/30 minute section on the floor, we finish with mobility improving exercises and stretches to develop flexibility using exercise bands.
The Monday evening 7.15pm mat based pilates class also finishes with 10/15 minutes of relaxation (using various techniques) which will help to relieve symptoms of stress and relax your mind and body.

There are a limited number of places in a class and these will be given out on a first come basis.
If you are unable to attend you must give at least 48 hours notice by email, text message or telephone, otherwise the class will still count as one of your allotted number.
