Dundee Martial Arts & Aikido
Learn Aikido () in Dundee! A traditional Japanese martial art, incorporating a wide range of effective self defence techniques including throws, joint locks, chokes and pins. Train With Us! Most importantly our Aikido classes are fun and a great way to stay healthy, keep fit and exercise. Whatever your age! Aikido was founded by the legendary martial artist Morihei Ueshiba (pictured above) in the early 20th Century and is strongly influenced by the martial arts and jujitsu forms of feudal Japan.

In particular Aikido combines both armed and unarmed techniques from the martial arts of the sword (Ken-jutsu) and staff (Jo-Jutsu), along with the martial arts techniques of Aiki-Jujutsu. We have taught Aikido classes to those in Dundee, Angus, Fife and Scotland for over 10 years. We pride ourselves on the quality of our classes and believe this is reflected in the dedication and enthusiasm of our students, with some travelling from across Tayside, Aberdeenshire and Fife to attend!
Services
We train regularly and all classes are open to beginners and advanced students alike.
Our classes are held every Thursday, from 7pm to 9pm and Sunday 10am to 12 noon.
Occasionally we attend and organise other seminars and events, these will also be listed here where applicable.

None of us are interested in making money through Aikido.
We teach, train and learn for the enjoyment alone.
We are a small club, struggling to pay the fees for our training hall.
If you're interested in helping, you can do so by downloading and printing some of our posters and distributing them for us.
We care what our students think of our classes, and we think their quality is reflected by what our students say about them.
So if you've trained with us, then please write a review to help inform others about our classes.
Aikido, as taught in our Dundee classes is an excellent form of exercise, promoting all-round fitness, health and flexibility.
If you've tried keep fit classes in the past, but were bored by the monotony of aerobics or strength training, then learning a martial art such as Aikido is an excellent choice that will exercise both mind and body.
Classes will help tone your body and have you energised the next day.
With no two classes the same and with so much to learn you'll never find yourself bored.
